The world is acutely feeling the effects of climate change, with rising temperatures and fire disasters. But instead of sitting back, Israel has become a global climate action leader, a key signer of the Paris Climate Accords, and a pioneer in green technologies for carbon capture and water purification/desalinization. It is leading the charge on climate, generating 10% of its electricity from renewable sources and well on its way to 100% renewable energy.

As the whole world deals with climate change and other environmental priorities, Israel is a crucial ally in the global climate fight. It is leading the charge by calling on other countries to improve their climate action efforts.

We need all the help we can get in the fight against climate change, and Israel is a key partner in this fight. The U.S. needs allies like Israel to harness the country’s regional leadership in green technology to fight resource scarcity and promote sustainability. We need to support Israeli innovation if we are committed to the fight against climate change.
